QD Now Freeware

Marcel Kilgus has announced that Jochen Merz has given him permission to release the highly respected QD editor as freeware.

QD was originally produced in 1988, which means it’s finally released as freeware in its 30th year!

Marcel says in his blog post at https://www.kilgus.net/smsqe/qd/ that “when I do work on QL software I almost exclusively use it, often more than 10 windows at the same time.” QD may be downloaded from the blog post.

QD is one of the few QL pointer driven editors – it needs pointer environment (or SMSQ/E) plus the Menu Extension. QMenu is also now available to download free from http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/tk/index.html
